Produce Measurement

Produce Measuring Gauge

Whether you heard it called an Apple Gauge, a Fruit Gauge, Cranston Gauge, or a Thinning Gauge, since 1948 growers and packers around the globe have turned to the Cranston Produce Measuring Gauge for simple, fast, and accurate measurements.

It fits in a pocket and requires one hand to operate. No electronics, no batteries, just tough plastic parts, and a spring steel band. To operate, slide the thumb tab to tighten the band around the produce and read the diameter at the pointer. Accuracy is within +/- 0.010 inch (+/- .254mm). The base model’s measurement range is 0.8” (20.32mm) to 4.0” (101.6mm), shown in inch scale on one side, and millimeters on the other.

Although the Cranston Produce Measuring Gauge’s lineage comes from measuring the circumference of Apples and Pears, today it’s used on all sorts of fruits and vegetables. It can measure virtually anything that will fit in its band.
